While an academic library, the Brooks Memorial Library also has children's books, a youth section, and DVD's for entertainment.

While changes had begun in the previous decade, many more have come since the dawn of 2000. The card catalog was converted to an Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC). Ten computers were added to the computer lab and LCD projectors were added.
The library began provided access to the Sothern Baptist Periodical Index and the Christian Periodical Index online. Databases were added through EBSCOhost, ProQuest, Kentucky Virtual Library, and Credo Reference. In 2004, a lending lab was added for the Bell County Early Childhood Resource Center. This area featured books, videos, a laminating machine, and a die cut machine. By 2005, the library budget was divided between print and electronic resources. As of 2016, the library houses over 57,000 items including books, DVD's, CD's, and bible study kits. The library has over 22,000 electronic books available through the online catalog. |

Lending labThe lending lab is a helpful resource for students that work with children.

Computer labIn 2015, the computer lab that consisted of 16 desktop computers with one network printer, was replaced with a mobiLab. The MobiLab has 24 laptop computers that can be checked out by patrons in the library or the entire unit can be taken to a classroom.
